The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day fabrication and engineering maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximizing machine efficiencies. The jobholder will work on a rotating double days shift pattern and be responsible for strong / clear communication links between shifts and relevant departments. The ideal candidate will come from a commissioning and installation background, ideally with experience of packaging, filling and sealing machinery, but this is by no means a necessity and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer with mechanical bias (but multi-skilled) and have food manufacturing experience. If you have worked on new machinery installations it would be advantageous. Also, able and willing to clean filter pumps and general mechanical work on pumps, conveyors, filters and other manufacturing machinery. There is a huge amount of training on offer so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
