Salary: £34,000 – £36,000 + Pension + Overtime

An excellent opportunity has arisen with one of the UK’s strongest privately owned food manufacturers, who is a leading specialist in the manufacture and converting of food based products. They have been established for almost 30 years and supply major food manufacturers as well as all the major multiples. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add to the engineering function once again.
Key Skills
- Apprentice Trained Engineer in Electrical Engineering
- Ideally CompEx Certificate or Similar Experience
- Understanding of PPM Systems
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximizing machine efficiencies. The jobholder will work on a day’s shift pattern and be responsible for strong / clear communication links between shifts and relevant departments. The ideal candidate will come from a process engineering background, but this is by no means a necessity and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer with electrical bias (but multi-skilled) and have PLC & ideally SCADA systems experience. If you have CompEx training, it would be advantageous. You will also be able and willing to clean filter pumps and general maintenance work on conveyors, fillers, mixers, 3 phase motors and other manufacturing machinery. There is a huge amount of training on offer so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
