Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Manchester

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 + Pension + Overtime
Days Based Role – Monday to Friday
The Company
An excellent opportunity has arisen with one of the UK’s leading specialist polymer processing manufacturers, they are well established with over 50 years of manufacturing experience and specialise in the production of plastic polymer based products to a wide variety of industries using unique manufacturing technology. Due to further expansion an excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced engineer.
Key Skills
- Apprentice Trained Engineer in Electrical
- 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Understanding of PPM Systems in Manufacturing
The Role
The ideal candidate will come from an electrical engineering background and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer (with an electrical qualification) ideally with an electrical bias (but have some multi-skilled knowledge) and have PLC fault finding experience, ideally within a plastics process environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies. If you have worked on hydraulics and pneumatics it would be advantageous. You will be able and willing to work on gearboxes, pumps and other process machinery. There is a huge scope and variety on offer, so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
