Controls Engineer – Leeming Bar

Location: Leeming Bar
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 + Pension + Medical + Life Assurance
Days Based Role – Monday to Friday
The Company – FMCG Manufacturer
Based within one of the UK’s leading specialist privately owned FMCG manufacturing companies, my client is looking to recruit an experienced controls specialist to add to their engineering team. The facility in Leeming Bar will benefit from further investment this year, to increase capacity. This manufacturing company is a well established business supplying into major blue chip manufacturers and is an extremely secure organisation.
Key Skills
- Ideally Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience of PLC systems, SCADA, distributed Control Systems.
- Understanding of PPM Systems within FMCG
The Role
The ideal candidate will come from an electrical engineering background and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a degree qualified engineer and have PPM and TPM manufacturing experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day automation engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies. If you have worked on PLC systems, HMI & SCADA systems, and invertors it would be advantageous, they have a variety of PLC’s on site and you will have programming ability on PLC & SCAD systems. You will be able and willing to work on instrumentation, drives, motors, gearboxes, pumps, and other process machinery. There is a huge scope and variety on offer so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
