Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Cleckheaton

Permanent Night Shift – Sunday to Thursday 10pm-6am
Salary: £33,000 to £36,000 + Pension + Overtime

The Company are extremely well established and is a truly British manufacturer. They are a market leader within its chosen field of specialism and are looking to expand their engineering team once again due to increased growth in their market share.

The Role
The ideal candidate will come from a mechanical engineering background and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer with a mechanical bias (but some electrical experience) and have fast moving manufacturing experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies. On a day to day basis you will work on PPM systems and varied equipment including conveyors, packaging equipment and check-weighers. You will therefore be willing to work on a variety of food manufacturing machinery, within H&S improvements and projects, with the ability to work within a team environment but also autonomously. There is a huge amount of variety on offer, so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
